Academics

We conduct research and teach on gender as a (bio)social fact.

We deal with the following topics, among others, in our courses:

  • Gender studies

  • Sociological theories
(e.g., poststructuralism, subjectification/socialization, microsociologies, sociology of inequality)

  • Body sociology

  • Parenting/family sociology

  • Cultural studies

  • Qualitative methods
(especially group discussions, discourse analysis, visual methods)

For students

We have compiled a collection of guidelines for assignments submitted at our chair. We advise you to read this information in advance, as the expectations at other chairs at the Department of Sociology may well differ.
